Learning Consultant-LPD


Scope of the role

This is a specialised individual contributor role responsible for managing the following:

  • Crafting learning curricula for Leadership development
  • Programme managing one or more Leadership learning curricula
  • Undertaking performance consulting assignments to ascertain the appropriate learning offering
  • Designing professional development courses to address identified capability building needs
  • Proving support learning consultants to ensure that the quality of facilitation meets the documented benchmarks



Key capabilities required


Brief description

Diagnosing learning needs

  • Identifying learning needs based on interactions with the business team


  • Applying a variety of methods like surveys, focus group, study of business data etc. to identify learning needs

Designing learning solutions

  • Applying learning theories, adult learning principles and insights from leading edge research on learning to craft learning curriculums and courses


  • Using technology to augment the scale and effectiveness of learning initiatives

Evaluating learning impact

  • Using appropriate models and measures of learning impact

Programme management

  • End to end programme management including creating schedules and plans for learning journeys and to fulfil other identified learning needs


  • Making efficient use of resources at hand such as budgets, infrastructure, resource persons etc.

Performance consulting

  • Identifying potential needs for performance consulting


  • Diagnosing causes / identifying ‘levers’ that can positively impact business outcomes


  • Design and deliver learning solutions where applicable to build capabilities that will positively impact outcomes  

Partner management

  • Identifying partners with best fit capabilities and experience for learning needs


  • Negotiation on commercials and terms of contracting





  • A post graduate degree in Human Resources
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Learning and Development is preferable
  • Certification in the areas of performance consulting / instructional design / facilitation from organisations of repute will be an added advantage

CTC Range - 14 lkh ~ 15 lkh
