The Area Credit Manager will be responsible for underwriting and managing the credit evaluation process for unsecured business loan proposals within the assigned geography. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality portfolio growth while maintaining risk standards and policy compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and underwrite unsecured business loan applications (BL) within defined TAT
Analyze financial statements, bank statements, and customer profiles for creditworthiness
Evaluate risk based on bureau reports (CIBIL), cash flows, and business stability
Approve/recommend cases within delegated authority and escalate deviations
Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines
Maintain portfolio quality by minimizing early delinquencies (EMI bounce, 0–30 DPD)
Work closely with sales teams to guide on credit norms and policy changes
Conduct personal discussions (PD) and field visits for high-value or risky cases
Monitor fraud triggers and ensure proper due diligence
Provide feedback to policy team for continuous improvement
