Job Title: Business Development Manager – Education Loans
Role Objective:
To drive education loan business by building key institutional and channel relationships. This role involves
leading a team of CREs and ensuring strong disbursement volumes while maintaining portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development
Onboard and manage partnerships with ecosystem players such as education consultants,
universities, colleges, coaching institutes, DSAs, etc
Hire and manage a team of CREs to drive logins and disbursals
Execute student outreach programs, seminars, institute-level activations, and loan awareness
campaigns
Track competitor offerings and recommend pricing or process enhancements
2. Driving Disbursals and Cross-sell penetration
Manage CRE productivity and cross-sell penetration
Coordinate with internal sales, credit, and operations teams to ensure seamless loan
processing
Maintain healthy NIMs through an optimal mix of fee income and cross-sell attachment
Drive post-sanction engagement to ensure tranche disbursals and enhance customer
retention
3. Portfolio Management
Monitor portfolio performance for key accounts
Maintain target collection efficiency on the portfolio
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Monthly/Quarterly disbursement targets
Portfolio quality (NPA %, collection efficiency)
Fee Income Targets
Eligibility:
4-5 years of experience in education loan sales
Prior experience with education loan focused NBFCs
Strong network and established relationships with channel partners and institutes
Excellent team management skills , communication and negotiation skills
Analytical and data-driven mindset and with proficiency in MS Excel
