Evaluate education loan applications within defined TAT.
Analyse customer financials, repayment capacity, banking behaviour, and credit bureau reports.
Assess student profile, course quality, institute credentials, and future employability (where applicable).
Ensure decisions are policy-based and well-documented.
Identify early warning signs and mitigate credit risks.
Recommend deviations with strong justifications.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor loan performance, bounce trends, delinquency, and vintage analysis.
Coordinate with collections team to manage high-risk accounts.
Suggest corrective measures to improve portfolio quality.
Participate in credit policy formulation for education instalment loans.
Improve underwriting processes to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
Work with sales to ensure quality sourcing and adherence to documentation standards.
Work closely with sales, ops, collections, and risk teams.
Provide training to sales teams on credit parameters and documentation requirements.
Resolve queries related to loan decisions and deviations.
Strong analytical and financial assessment skills.
Understanding of unsecured/education lending, bureau reports, and risk indicators.
Good communication and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of underwriting tools and loan management systems.
High integrity and compliance mindset.
MBA preferred.
2–7 years of experience in credit underwriting (education loan).
Experience in NBFC / Fintech underwriting is an added advantage.
