We are seeking a proactive and analytical Credit Manager to join our Mortgage & LAP division. The role involves evaluating credit proposals, assessing financials, and ensuring sound credit decisions while maintaining portfolio quality and compliance.
Evaluate and underwrite credit proposals for Mortgage and Loan Against Property (LAP) within defined turnaround times and policy parameters.
Conduct detailed financial, business, and risk analysis, including balance sheet assessment and cash flow evaluation.
Review and interpret legal and technical reports to ensure proper collateral evaluation and title clearance.
Collaborate closely with sales, legal, technical, and operations teams for end-to-end credit processing.
Recommend and justify deviations/exceptions based on risk assessment and policy alignment.
Monitor portfolio health, track early warning signals, and support proactive risk mitigation.
Ensure complete adherence to internal credit policies, audit standards, and RBI/regulatory guidelines.
Contribute to credit policy development and process improvements for enhanced risk management.
Strong knowledge of retail credit underwriting for Mortgage / LAP products.
Sound understanding of legal and technical aspects of property evaluation.
Expertise in financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and due diligence.
Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
High standards of integrity, attention to detail, and compliance orientation.
CA (1st to 3rd Attempt) or Full-Time MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
2–6 years of relevant experience in credit underwriting for Mortgage / LAP with a leading bank or NBFC.
Must possess strong knowledge of legal and technical evaluation processes related to secured lending.
