PURPOSE OF JOB
We require a Datacenter Operations Specialist to oversee the daily management and performance of our datacenter infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and disaster recovery across various platforms, including Windows/Linux environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage Daily Operations, Analyze Workflows, and Set Priorities: Ensures smooth day-to-day operations, optimizing team productivity and system performance by prioritizing tasks and managing workflows effectively.
• Collaborate with Users, Management, Vendors, and Developers: Vital for understanding system requirements and addressing technical challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Implement and Manage Disaster Recovery and Security Procedures: Guarantees the integrity, security, and availability of critical data and systems, minimizing the risk of data loss and system downtime.
• Schedule and Apply System Updates and Upgrades: Keeps systems up-to-date with the latest patches and upgrades, enhancing security, performance, and overall system stability.
• Test and Modify Systems to Ensure Optimal Reliability: Ensures systems function smoothly and reliably, preventing potential disruptions by identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
• Ensure Secure Network Access for Remote Users: Protects the network and sensitive data by enabling secure access for remote users, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Stay Updated on Emerging Technologies: Helps keep the infrastructure relevant and competitive, incorporating innovative solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
QUALIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• Work Location: Airoli, Navi Mumbai
• Qualification: Any academic degree or diploma
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on expertise in managing Windows Server environments with a focus on system administration and infrastructure optimization.
• Technical Skills: Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), DNS, DHCP, AD, File/Print Servers, IIS
• Server Hardware: RAID and storage setup
• Tools & Strengths: Performance tuning, monitoring, backups, and strong troubleshooting with clear documentation
• Nice to have: Familiar with antivirus tools, datacenter operations, and capacity planning.
