As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and growing high-performing engineering teams while driving the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable backend systems. You will balance technical excellence with people leadership, ensuring projects are delivered with high quality, on time, and aligned with business goals.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders, while mentoring engineers and building a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to successfully deliver projects
● Drive technical design, architecture decisions, and best engineering practices
● Own end-to-end delivery including planning, execution, and release
● Partner with Product and Program Management to translate business needs into technical solutions
● Ensure high standards of code quality, scalability, reliability, and security
● Build, motivate, and retain top engineering talent
● Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
● Act as a hands-on technical leader when required
Requirements:
● 8–14 years of experience in server-side application development using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS
● 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams
● Proven experience delivering highly scalable, distributed systems
● Strong background in system design and architecture
● Demonstrated success in building, motivating, and retaining teams
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly
● Strong judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to balance technical depth with people and delivery management
● Strong experience in scaling, performance tuning, and optimization at API and data layers
● Strong stakeholder management and execution skills
● Hands-on leader and problem solver with a passion for excellence
● Experience with agile development practices
