Job Purpose

To lead and manage end-to-end regulatory reporting and data submission processes for the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions to all regulatory bodies. The role involves building a robust audit and data governance framework, developing audit data infrastructure, driving process standardization, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure all submissions are First-Time-Right (FTR) and aligned with regulatory guidelines.

Role

End-to-End Regulatory Submissions

  • Oversee and manage periodic submissions for CIC, NeSL, CKYC, CGTMSE, KYC/AML, and AML Monitoring, among others.

  • Ensure data quality, completeness, and timeliness of all regulatory submissions.

  • Track submission acknowledgments and responses from regulators and ensure closure of any exceptions or discrepancies.

 

Governance and Audit Readiness

  • Establish a centralized audit data infrastructure to track all regulatory submissions and responses end-to-end.

  • Maintain documentation and version control for submission files, data extracts, and regulatory correspondences.

  • Handle internal / external audit queries and coordinate with relevant teams for timely responses.

 

Process Design & Governance

  • Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with Tech, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to streamline submission workflows.

  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to reduce manual intervention and enhance control.

 

Team Leadership

  • Leading a small team of data support / MIS analyst / MIS Developer staff as required.

 

BI SPOC

  • Conduct post-facto analysis of CIC submissions, customer complaints related to CIC report, evaluate Data Quality Index (DQI) results for CIC submissions, and drive corrective actions to improve DQI performance across product lines.

  • Prepare and present senior management reports (Management Council decks) on regulatory metrics as mandated by authorities

  • Act as the BI SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for Credit Information Companies (CICs) to facilitate reporting discussions, dispute resolution, and compliance-related queries.

Qualification & experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferably in Science / Computer Science / Information Systems / quant or related field but not mandatory)

  • MBA in Finance / Risk Management / Business Analytics / Information Systems / Operations Management / Compliance & Governance.

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in regulatory reporting, MIS, or data governance within NBFCs, Banks, or Financial Institutions.

Essential skills

  •  Strong understanding of NBFC regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks 

  • Hands-on experience in data validation, reconciliation, and control processes

  • Ability to manage automation projects in CIC reporting using SQL, ETL tools, or BI platforms.

  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams (technology, operations, risk, compliance) and engaging with CICs for dispute resolution and reporting improvements.

  • Ability to interpret large datasets, resolve data discrepancies, and drive process improvements.

  • Proficiency in preparing regulatory reports, dashboards, and senior management presentations using Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
