About the Role
CapGrid is looking for a Manager – Sourcing & Vendor Development with strong experience in the Consumer Durables/Appliances industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, supplier management, cost optimization, and ensuring a robust supply chain for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and vendor development activities.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Drive supplier negotiations to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments, audits, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams for new product development and sourcing initiatives.
- Implement cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
- Ensure suppliers meet quality standards, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor market trends and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, and Vendor Development.
- Mandatory: Strong experience in the Consumer Durables/Appliances industry.
- Proven expertise in supplier development, strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and procurement.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Industry
Candidates should be from reputed Consumer Durables or Home Appliances manufacturing companies.
