Configure and optimize dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Manage Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and inter-VLAN routing.
Implement route redistribution and policy-based routing to ensure optimal routing paths.
Deploy and maintain firewalls, VPN gateways, and IPS/IDS systems.
Define and enforce access control lists (ACLs) and network security policies.
Monitor and respond to network security incidents, ensuring proactive resolution.
Design scalable and resilient network topologies for Data Centers (DC), branches, and cloud environments.
Plan and implement capacity upgrades to support growing business needs.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and solutions, providing recommendations for network improvements.
Ensure high availability through technologies such as HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
Implement failover mechanisms and redundant links.
Support disaster recovery (DR) drills and ensure backup readiness.
Maintain synchronization between DC and DR sites for continuity and resilience.
Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.
Analyze traffic patterns to identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimizing throughput and performance.
Implement QoS policies for voice, video, and mission-critical applications.
Maintain updated network diagrams, configuration records, and change logs.
Perform root cause analysis for outages and connectivity failures.
Document solutions and create knowledge base articles for internal reference.
Oversee load balancing solutions for applications and servers to ensure optimized resource usage.
Ensure proper network segmentation to improve security and performance.
Ensure compliance with ITIL, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and other relevant security frameworks.
Prepare audit reports and assist in internal/external security reviews.
Act as an escalation point for complex network issues unresolved by L1/L2 support teams.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Participate in cross-functional projects to ensure network readiness and alignment with business goals.
Proven experience configuring and managing OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and other routing protocols in complex networks.
Strong knowledge of Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and inter-VLAN routing.
Experience with firewall management, VPN gateways, IPS/IDS systems, and ACLs.
Familiarity with high-availability solutions such as HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP.
