Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is:
To deepen wallet share through customer engagement and enhancement of customer ROE.
Monitor all aspects of the loan performance of existing clients which includes collection of payments, making sure payments are made timely; all customer queries are attended to as per SLAs; maintain portfolio hygiene
Ensure portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship follows established internal policies, procedures and business strategy as well as statutory and regulatory guidelines.

Strong understanding of business finance, loan structuring methods and credit administration key to building credibility with customers and gaining competitive advantage
Understanding of local regional market characteristics such as region-specific occupations/trade, local financial and investment preferences and practices important to gain competitive advantage while leading client engagement.
Constant monitoring of collaterals, post sanction surveillance essential to preemptively address potential NPAs and de-risk against fraudulent intent and actions. This makes client relationship building and management an extremely critical activity.
Fee income and utilization of loan are key business metrics that impact overall profitability. These are again driven in large measure through sustained client engagements, understanding the client’s needs, earning credibility with the client as a trusted advisor and overall relationship building.

Key Challenges
Mitigate and manage risk by proactively identifying if a client's business is not doing well.
Recommend risk mitigation actions on a case to case basis such as restructuring or eliminating loans, increasing interest rates or fees and making sure the Company is compensated effectively for the risk.

Management
Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect past due accounts and monitors ongoing repayment ability of all other accounts.
Monitors the financial statements of existing clients which involves analyzing risk and making sure their financial capabilities are in line with lending requirements.
Provides loan increases and renewals to existing clients. Manages the renewal process by working with the Relationship Manager, the client and the credit analyst.
Examines loans due for re-evaluation and potential renewal in order to determine if they still represent profitable investments for the organization. Prepares the renewal application and submits it for approvals accordingly
KRA2 Portfolio
Management
Periodically reviews existing loans to ensure the continued security and profitability of the portfolio
Ensures that assigned loan accounts operate as authorized, and take all measures necessary to correct default payments or, in the case of non-performing loans, enforces the security documentation to ensure loan repayment
Ensures strict adherence to risk, compliance and legal norms in sales processes as regulated and laid down by Compliance Team
