PURPOSE OF JOB |
|
|
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Digital Business to lead initiatives in the digital payments and merchant acquiring domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payment ecosystems including UPI, card payments, 3DS, EMI solutions, Transit and merchant platforms. This role involves managing projects through their complete lifecycle—from solution design and planning to delivery, testing, and go-live. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Operations, and Partners/Vendors to deliver business critical digital payment solutions and ensure timely, high-quality execution. |

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
|
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including solutioning, planning, execution, testing, and release. • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. • Coordinate across product, engineering, QA, and implementation teams to track progress and mitigate delivery risks. • Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation in alignment with organizational priorities. • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, collaborating with solution architects and engineering teams to finalize FSD. • Monitor project performance using standard metrics and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders. • Ensure project documentation, governance compliance, and quality assurance standards are met. • Lead project reviews, RCA discussions, and retrospectives to establish process improvements. • Support post-implementation monitoring and performance tracking to ensure stable operations and identify areas for enhancement |

QUALIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE |
|
|
Required Skills & Experience • Minimum 5 years of overall experience, including at least 2 years in project management roles within the payments or fintech domain. • Hands-on experience working with payment processors, acquiring processors, or payment gateway companies. • Strong understanding of digital payment technologies such as UPI, 3DS, Transit, EMI, merchant platforms, POS/acquiring ecosystems, APIs and end-to-end transaction processing and settlement workflows • Proven experience in managing cross-functional digital payment projects involving system integrations, transaction flows, and testing phases. • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills with solid communication and documentation capabilities. • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), and reporting formats. • Knowledge of compliance, data security, and RBI/policy frameworks governing digital payments preferred. • Technical background or understanding of APIs, SDKs, and platform integrations is an added advantage. |
