Position Overview
The Regional Head of Branch Banking is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of Branch banking operations within a designated region. This includes managing teams, achieving financial targets, driving book growth, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, an in-depth understanding of the Branch banking and collaboration with teams - Product, Operations, Sales, IT, Credit, BIU and other stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute regional strategies to achieve business growth, revenue, and profitability targets
- Collaborate with senior management to align regional goals with the organization’s overall objectives
- Identify market opportunities and trends to expand the Branch banking portfolio
2. Team Management and Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of relationship managers, portfolio managers, cluster heads, and support staff
- Establish performance goals and monitor progress, providing regular feedback and coaching
- Drive talent acquisition, training, and succession planning to build a high-performing team
3. Business Development
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients, business partners, and stakeholders
- Drive acquisition of new Branch banking clients and deepen existing relationships of branch channel
- Oversee the development of tailored financial solutions to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises
4. Financial and Operational Oversight
- Monitor regional performance metrics, including profitability and book growth, fee income, and credit quality
- Ensure efficient management of resources to maximize profitability and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with collections team to drive down the net credit loss and delinquency metrics
5. Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and risk management standards
- Monitor and manage credit risk, operational risk, and market risk within the region
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits to maintain a strong control environment
6. Customer Experience
- Foster a customer-centric culture across the region
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, timely, and personalized services to branch banking clients
- Address client escalations and ensure prompt resolution of issues
