The Technical Manager – Credit will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and managing the creditworthiness of clients, ensuring adherence to internal risk policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves leading a team, driving credit underwriting, ensuring high-quality portfolio management, and supporting business growth with sound credit decisions.
Lead the credit appraisal process for secured loan proposals across retail, SME, and business segments.
Conduct detailed financial analysis, cash flow assessment, and risk evaluation of applicants.
Ensure credit decisions are in line with organizational policies, risk appetite, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with business teams to balance risk and growth objectives while maintaining portfolio quality.
Monitor early warning signals and ensure timely action to mitigate risks.
Review and approve proposals within delegated authority and recommend larger exposures to senior management.
Develop and implement robust credit risk assessment frameworks and underwriting models.
Train, guide, and mentor credit analysts/underwriters to enhance team capabilities.
Prepare and present MIS/reports on portfolio performance, risk metrics, and policy deviations.
Liaise with auditors, compliance, and regulators as required.
